Landowners with non-point source pollution concerns on their property are encouraged to visit the Cheyenne County Conservation District to discuss solutions and possible state financial assistance, eligible practices and cost-share rates.
We are pleased to bring cost-share dollars into Cheyenne County to aid in Non-point source pollution efforts.
During the past five years, the program has experienced severe budget cuts but the Conservation District has distributed $39,760.78 to local landowners and producers.
If you are interested in applying for State Cost-Share, please fill out and return the application to the Conservation Office. Deadline to turn the application in is 4:00pm on Friday, May 29, 2015. Click here to view and print an application for this program.

We are pleased to bring cost-share dollars into Cheyenne County to aid in soil and water conservation efforts. During the past five years, the program has experienced severe budget cuts but the Conservation District has distributed $120,724.98 of state cost-share funds to local landowners and producers.
The Cheyenne County Conservation District is currently taking applications for cost-share assistance to install the following conservaton practices:
Terraces, Terrace Rebuilds, Diversions, Livestock Tanks, Wells and Pipelines, Cross-Fencing, Pumping Plant for Water Supply, Rangeland Seeding, Spring Development, and Windbreaks (I.E. trees, fabric weed barrier, drip irrigation systems).
Funding is provided by the Division of Conservation, KS Dept. of Agriculture, through appropriations from the Kansas Water Plan and administered by the Cheyenne County Conservation District.
