The Cheyenne County Conservation District sponsors poster contests for students in grades K-6 who are residents of Cheyenne County. A different conservation theme is selected each year. Danielle Holzwarth, District Manager, visits each classroom and presents a video and theme information booklets. Instructions and paper are provided. If you are home-schooled and would like to participate, please contact the office in December or early January.

The Herman Antholz Memorial Scholarship is sponsored by the Cheyenne County Conservation District. Juniors or seniors in college will be eligible to apply for the two $250 scholarships. The students must be residents of Cheyenne County and majoring in agriculture or wildlife. Deadline to submit an application is August 28th of the current year. Applications may be uploaded from this website or you may request a copy from the Conservation Office in St. Francis, Kansas.
